Signed endorsement of Kamala Harris with 400+ officials
More than 400 economists and former high-ranking US policymakers are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris and her vision for the American economy, according to a document announcing the endorsement seen by CNN. The backing for Harris comes largely
from left-leaning economists and officials who served under Democrats, including top Biden & Obama administration officials; and Clinton-era policymakers.
"The choice in this election is clear: between failed trickle-down economic policies that
benefit the few and economic policies that provide opportunity for all," the endorsement document reads.
Only a few of the endorsees appear to have served under Republicans. "Nonpartisan researchers have predicted that if Donald Trump successfully
enacts his agenda, it will lower GDP growth and increase the unemployment rate."
The endorsement was also signed by former Labor Secretary Marty Walsh and ex-Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, both Democrats.

Put an end to Boston's bid for summer Olympics
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh refused to sign the host city contract that would put taxpayers on the line for Olympic debts and told reporters that the opposition to the Olympic bid, which got more media attention than anything else during his mayorship,
was "about ten people on Twitter." Then the US Olympic Committee pulled Boston from the running. Walsh explained that the costs outweighed the perceived benefits, and that "our citizens were rightly hesitant to be supportive."
