Legally define marriage as one-man-one-woman

The Senate Conservatives Fund endorsed Mourdock based on its questionnaire which includes: The definition of marriage is a key question to determine how candidates view the role of government. Does government have the right to reshape cultural mores by redefining religious institutions to sanction behavior that is considered immoral by all the world's religions? In America, people should have a right to live with whomever they want, but redefining marriage to promote behavior that is deemed costly and destructive is not the proper role of government.
