Strengthen Social Security, Not Privatize It

Inez will work to strengthen and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security system, so that the program provides a lifetime, guaranteed, inflation-protected retirement income. Inez opposes risky schemes to privatize Social Security, which puts the program's long-term health in jeopardy. To complement Social Security and maximize senior citizens' retirement income, Inez would also encourage greater personal savings outside of the Social Security System.
