A: To balance the budget and eliminate national debt we must reform Medicare, Social Security and entitlement programs. I have a specific plan for these under-funded programs that will restore them to financial stability. Lower payroll taxes, create job opportunities and allow for more take home pay to improve our economy. Widows, the disabled and retirees will enjoy a larger monthly benefit then under the current system. And the government will grow stronger financially.
Q: How would you fund that?
A: To pay for the national debt and increasing cost of health care, specifically, Medicare I propose increasing taxes on alcohol and tobacco products. These products have a direct link to increased health costs, & justifies increase in taxes. In addition, I would impose a tax increase for immigration due to the burden on our government to control. Lessen the benefit to come to this country, and the number of people coming will decrease.
