Andy Gipson on Immigration

Need for immigrant workers but they need to be legal

Homeland Security agents removed 680 people from their workplaces, poultry processing plants in central Mississippi--about three percent of those employed by the state's poultry industry. "I think that it should cause everyone to stop and think about the future of agriculture workforce in this state."

"Not everybody is going to want to work in a chicken plant. So I think there will always be a need for immigrant workers. But the key is, they need to be legal immigrant workers," Gipson said.
