Greg Lopez on Abortion

Abortion allowed under no circumstances

Q: Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

A: Under no circumstances and here is why- In cases of medical emergency involving the mother and/or baby, abortions can be very dangerous and can take days to be completed. C-sections are the preferred standard of care since they can be performed within 30 minutes and they are performed with the intent to save both the mother and the baby whenever possible. In cases of rape, there have been many women who have testified that while the rape was traumatic, having an abortion performed was even more traumatic in the month and years after. These women are being re-traumatized.

Q: Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

A: Strongly Agree

Q: I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

A: Disagree
