We've adopted the approach that "housing is healthcare"

Instead of conducting sweeps that just move homeless people from one place to another without offering them help or hope, we saw an opportunity for a new approach that is both more compassionate, and more effective. By adopting the approach that "housing is healthcare," we began to break this vicious cycle by putting people in inexpensive, tiny homes after they are discharged from hospital emergency rooms. Safe, affordable, and stable housing is a human right

Safe, affordable, and stable housing is a human right, and it is more than just a place to live--it impacts our health, our identity, and sense of belonging. We need a comprehensive approach to housing that addresses all segments of the population, from renters to low-to-moderate income individuals and families, to those experiencing homelessness. Eliminate red tape to speed up affordable housing

Immediately issue an executive order to all state and county housing agencies to speed up construction of affordable housing by eliminating red tape, streamlining processes and approvals, and coordinating efforts to address the crisis.

Create an Office of Emergency Housing to serve as a "one stop shop" to eliminate bureaucratic red tape and provide faster services and approvals.
