Harriet Hageman on Government Reform

Photo ID to vote; abolish drop boxes; robust poll-watching

Q: Should people be able to vote without photo identification?

A: Strongly Disagree.

Q: What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

A: We must prohibit the use of private or NGO funds in the electoral process (i.e., funds from Mark Zuckerberg's foundation/organizations); we must abolish drop boxes; we must return to in-person voting; voter ID is critically important; we must have full transparency with regard to the voting process; we must enforce prohibitions on giving voters something of value for their vote; we need to shorten the voting window (in Wyoming, shorten it from 6 weeks to no more than 2 weeks, and perhaps even 1 week); we need to prosecute voter fraud to the fullest extent of the law; we must ensure that only citizens can and do vote; and we must ensure robust poll watching.

Push back against federal overreach

My legislative priorities are focused almost exclusively on taking power from the administrative state, and for Congress to reclaim its rightful place as the body that legislates.

I would like to be on the Natural Resources Committee, as well as the Oversight Committee and Judiciary Committee if possible. These three committees will have the most direct impact on Wyoming, and will allow me to further my legislative agenda. I have focused much of my legal career on working for those businesses and families who put food on your table, gas in your car, a roof over your head and who build your roads.

I have worked with the Wyoming Legislature to further the conservative agenda, to protect our fossil fuel industries, and to push back against federal overreach. I am committed to making a much-needed course-correction in Washington, DC. I will fight to return to our constitutional foundation of separation of powers, protection of individual freedom and liberty, and states rights.
