Seth supports banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines, the weapons of war most often used in mass shootings. As Treasurer, Seth has been working to restrict sales of "ghost guns" and divested the state's pension fund from companies that manufacture assault weapons for non-military use. Seth will continue fighting to end gun violence with the same common sense approach that he has taken as Treasurer and work to make sure the Bipartisan Background Checks Act is signed into law. Stop credit card companies from processing ghost gun charges

Mastercard's board unanimously recommended that shareholders vote against a new proposal that calls on the company to take action. "Payment processors like MasterCard absolutely have the ability to restrict transactions related to ghost guns on their platforms," said Seth Magaziner, the general treasurer of Rhode Island, who wrote the proposal.
