Defend ACA; improve its coverage

Once regarded as radical, proposals to create a government-run health care system serving all Americans are making inroads among mainstream Democrats. But Nevada's federal lawmakers aren't exactly jumping on the Medicare-for-all bandwagon. Expand access to health care & mental health services

I will focus on taking commonsense steps to protect access to health coverage, while bringing down costs. We must focus on lowering prescription drug prices by advocating increased transparency in pharmaceutical pricing and allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. We need to find common ground to gets costs under control and expand access to health care. We also need to focus on expanding mental health services in Nevada. Don't repeal Obamacare, make necessary changes

Lee said she feels strongly about the Affordable Care Act after watching her uninsured parents struggle with huge medical bills when her mom had a heart attack. They couldn't get coverage because of preexisting conditions. "The ACA to me was refreshingly a bipartisan solution to a problem that has been plaguing this country for years," she said.
