Strengthen Medicaid and Medicare

A: "When it comes to Medicaid and Medicare, those are programs that need to be strengthened."

Medicaid and Medicare programs need to be strengthened
Maine Sen. Cynthia Dill and former Secretary of State Matt Dunlap defended the social programs and instead said they would look to taxation reforms and cuts in military spending as ways to balance the federal budget.
Dill called for fair tax policies that require the wealthy to pay their fair share, and cuts in military spending such as for weapons systems. "When it comes to Medicaid and Medicare, those are programs that need to be strengthened," she said.

ObamaCare is a much needed program; explore single-payer
The Affordable Care Act is a much needed program that provides basic health care to Americans where the free market has failed to. Millions are already benefiting from the law. Seniors on fixed incomes are saving money on prescriptions and checkups.
Insurance companies can no longer set arbitrary lifetime caps on benefits. I will work to strengthen the law, and to reform the current fee for service system that creates the wrong incentives. I also believe a single-payer system should be explored.
