Scott Keller on Free Trade

Eliminate ALL barriers to free trade
Q: Do you agree with "Free trade with the full involvement of the people"?A: True. Actual stances:
- Get the definition of free trade right.
-
The popular push for free trade leaves out non-profits.
- Free trade is currently not promoted as free trade, but rather only free "for-profit" trade.
-
Non-profits are imposed on with far too many restrictions.
- Eliminate ALL barriers to free trade and make it truly free trade such that anyone can trade with anyone else regardless of the country.
No special preferences based on country or industry.
- Trade balance has been negative annually since 1976 to a tune of over $6-$7 trillion of accumulated debt.

Strongly supports expanding free trade
Q: Your opinion on our VoteMatch statement, "Support & expand free trade"?A: Strongly support. We need to return to a positive annual trade balance. The annual trade balance has been negative every year since 1976.
Accumulated debt just from the trade imbalance is over $6 trillion. Free trade with the full involvement of the people. I would evaluate what is meant by free trade, as the status quo doesn't seem so free.

Free trade with the full involvement of the people
Q: Do you support expanding free trade?A: I support free trade, but with the full involvement of the people, not through back room deals involving only bankers & politicians. It has to be fully free trade (meaning open to and determined by all rather
than just a few) to be truly free trade. Plus I have ideas about how to make the US the best goods producer of the world again with awesome quality and low prices and become self-dependent regarding at least the basic needs once again--including energy.
