12-year term limits for House & Senate

While many may go to Washington well intentioned, clear evidence shows that the longer politicians are in Washington, the more fiscally irresponsible their voting record becomes. The longer they are a part of government, the more they feel the government should have an increased involvement in people's lives and our economy.

We must return to our Founders' notion of citizen legislators, not career politicians. I support term limits for members of Congress. Twelve years in the Senate or House is enough to achieve one's respective goals. This will get at the root cause of the problem.
