Virginia’s Republican Governors have proven that with tough laws and tough enforcement we can cut crime. Late last year, Governor Gilmore reported Virginia’s lowest crime rate since 1974. Governor George Allen led the way by abolishing
parole and establishing truth-in-sentencing. Believing that “if you’re not safe, nothing else matters,” Hager has worked closely with Governor Gilmore to build upon Governor Allen’s record.
