Crack down on most dangerous types of gun possession
[Hager supports the] Virginia Exile program, which cracks down on illegal guns in strategic ways by attacking the types of gun possession that are most dangerous. Exile imposes tough mandatory minimum sentences for possession of a firearm
by a convicted felon; for possession of a firearm on school property, with intent to harm or threaten; and for possession of a firearm and drugs such as heroin or cocaine. But Exile also funds additional prosecutors to ensure that the law is enforced.
