Implement measures that protect both health and environment

Protecting the environment means protecting public health. I will increase funding for municipal water and sewer infrastructure improvements and ensure that everyone, regardless of where they live or work, is free from the threat of toxic exposure.

Planning for growth will protect environment

A clean environment is key to quality of life. I will create a statewide Growth Advisory Group, made up of state officials, business leaders, developers, academics, planners and local officials, to develop growth-planning strategies and expand open space acquisition to maintain important recreational and community areas while preserving the state's natural habitat.
