Move to Internet-based health insurance administration
I will prioritize reducing administrative requirements that are burdensome to providers and patients. Just as ATMs and the Internet enable banks to automate transactions and make remote-site banking possible, technology can automate securely shared
business processes in the insurance system - with potential for savings. Using the Internet to enable parties to execute transactions automatically, in real time, will revolutionize insurance administration and make our health care system more efficient.

Provided Abandoned Property web site for 1.6 million items
As part of our continuing effort to return tens of millions of dollars in Abandoned Property to its owners, my office has recently added 1.5 million records to our interactive web site. These additional records, which date back to the 1970s, bring the
total number of Massachusetts Abandoned Property records now available on the Internet to nearly 1.6 million, a sixteen-fold increase over the 100,000 that we posted in 1999 and 2000.Searching for abandoned assets turned over to the Commonwealth has
never been faster or easier. And, through our partnership with MissingMoney.com, we’ve made it easy for you to search for Abandoned Property held by other states.
By using the power of the Internet, we hope to be able to return more property to more
people across the Commonwealth. I urge you to take a moment and search for your name and the names of family and friends. You can also help us by encouraging others to visit our web site.
