Jason Kander on Corporations

Close tax loopholes for companies that send jobs overseas

Q: What would you do to support economic and job growth?

Jason Kander: I will fight to close tax loopholes for companies that send jobs overseas and work to make sure our tax system provides targeted tax relief for small businesses and the middle class so working families can get ahead. We need to make sure the minimum wage is a livable wage, women earn equal pay for equal work and higher education is an affordable option for all.

Make it easy to start and maintain a business

Jason's wife Diana is a small business owner, so he has seen first-hand what it is like to sort through a lot of bureaucracy and paperwork to meet government requirements. In the Secretary of State's office, Jason has reduced red tape and offered commonsense solutions to help small businesses grow and create more jobs in Missouri. Jason is currently working with Democrats and Republicans in the Missouri General Assembly on his legislation to reduce business fees to the lowest in the nation and eliminate unnecessary paperwork for family farms.

Jason's goal from the start has been to make Missouri the easiest and best state in the country to start and maintain a business. When Jason took office, only a handful of business forms could be filed online with the Secretary of State's office, but Jason's new website now allows Missourians to file nearly every form online.
