Supports same-sex marriage

Alameel is flirting with a populist, crossover appeal, railing against the Wall Street interests. He sounds mainstream Democratic notes emphasizing education and Social Security, immigration reform, same-sex marriage and preserving abortion rights. But even as he carries the Democratic banner, he says "this race is going to be decided by people's deeds and the content of their character, rather than which party they belong to."
