Dave Domina on War & Peace

No drones to kill Americans in foreign countries

Asked about drones, domestic surveillance and the rights of privacy, Domina said the Fourth Amendment protects Americans against unreasonable search and seizure, and "drones are no exception." He said he opposes the use of drones to kill Americans in foreign countries and the National Security Agency's seizure of emails and texts.

Sasse said Americans need "stone-colored realism about the dangers we face" and its government must have the technology to keep up with bad guys.

No deployments to protect corporate investments abroad

Military Deployment. I am a Veteran. In the first debate between my opponent and I, it was clear I understand what is required to make a decision to deploy American military troops abroad. I said any consideration of such a deployment must have defined, achievable political objective, and must be supported by effective, thoughtful, tactical and scientific application of the principles of war, which are the responsibility of the Joint Chiefs Of Staff and the Commander In Chief. I oppose using American military power to protect the investments of private U.S. corporations abroad when those investments are made, knowingly, in an unstable region where the investor should know that the risk of physical insecurity and political instability is a cost of doing business to be borne by the investor, not by the American people. Corporate profits don't justify sacrificing American lives.
