Don't fund or join unaccountable IMF, WTO, and UN

Thomas Jefferson asserted that America should have "peace, commerce & honest friendship with all nations--entangling alliances with none." The Founding Fathers were well aware that international alliances undermine our country's independence. Yet today, America finds itself entangled in many such alliances, often through organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, World Trade Organization (WTO), and the United Nations (UN).

The leaders of these organizations are unelected, and therefore unaccountable to citizens. We should not sacrifice our autonomy to these foreign institutions. Our Founding Fathers wisely enshrined the right of all Americans to direct representation. We should never give up that right to others whose histories are different and who do not necessarily share our values and understanding of freedom. America can engage in free trade and develop beneficial relationships with other nations without funding or joining international organizations.
