Karen Testerman on Health Care

ObamaCare should not require purchasing specific items

Q: Do you support or oppose the statement, "Expand ObamaCare"?

A: I strongly disagree. It is not the role of the federal government to tax citizens for not participating or purchasing a specific item.

ObamaCare is ideologically flawed & politically damaging

There were whispers last week that President Barack Obama was considering decreeing that we would have single-payer health insurance. We have a fundamental problem in this country: Our President is acting as if he is above the Constitution and the will of the people and their representation in Congress in order to "fix" his ideologically flawed, politically damaging and disastrous law.

The idea being considered is pretty simple and has the potential to become the biggest fraud in the history of the world today. The idea was that the president would unilaterally use our public funds to pay insurance companies whatever they guess they need to cover anticipated enrollees. Theoretically, the government would work out individuals' payments later. Would you ever go out for dinner and drinks with 300 million of your friends, offer to put it on your card, and agree to work it out later?

In reality, this would be the beginning of a single-payer system.

ObamaCare is unaffordable and unworkable

Karen Testerman expressed great disappointment in the president's illegal, partisan, deceptive delay in the enforcement of ObamaCare until after the 2014 elections to protect representatives like Jeanne Shaheen.

"We have already seen that the consequences of this law are dreadful, and Pres. Obama is delaying the damage of ObamaCare until after the 2014 elections."

"The president wants people to vote before they are blindsided by the price of ObamaCare plans, the lack of choice of doctors and hospitals, and the higher deductibles and co-pays-- before they fully realize the unaffordability and unworkability of ObamaCare.
