Strengthen the regulation and enforcement of the Clean Water Act & the Clean Air Act.
Strengthen emission controls and fuel efficiency standards on all gasoline and diesel-powered engines, including cars, trucks, and sport utility vehicles.
Encourage further development and use of alternative fuels to reduce pollution.
Support the Kyoto Protocol to limit global warming.

Incentivize pollution control to spur innovation

While pollution control is often considered to be a burden on the economy, it is important to note that reduced pollution will reduce health care costs. Finally, innovation in the area of pollution control must be incentivized, and companies that work to bring this technology to the market will be an important force in creating new jobs.
