Freedom to Farm Bill provided opportunity to fail
I pointed out [to new Bush appointees] the challenges farmers in Georgia are facing as we head into the debate later this year on the Farm Bill. Farmers across Georgia are struggling with drought conditions, are having to settle for low commodity prices
and are paying higher and higher production costs. The Freedom to Farm Bill promised so much but failed to deliver. It left many Georgia farmers guessing about their future. Unfortunately, freedom to farm also provided opportunity to fail.
