Staunch supporter of Second Amendment Rights
As a life-long gun owner and a member of the NRA, I am a staunch supporter of Second Amendment Rights. I believe that the U.S Constitution was crafted and intended to protect and preserve the individual right to bear arms. In Congress
I will serve as a strong and vocal defender of the Second Amendment and oppose legislation that seeks to undermine or infringe upon this crucially important constitutional right.

Ohio should pass permitless concealed carry
With the signing of a recently passed bill by conservative Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds, Iowa has become the 18th state in the union to enact constitutional concealed carry.
Under these laws, citizens who are legally permitted to possess firearms may carry them concealed without obtaining the permission of government first. Ohio should quickly become the next state to pass this important legislation.

Opposes "frightening" red flag laws
These state laws are even more important now because law-abiding gun owners are under attack from the Biden administration. And one of the most frightening of these Biden attacks is what are known as "red flag" laws.
According to Ohio Gun Owners, red flag confiscation orders can allow liberal judges to target gun owners and strip away firearms from them before they've been charged, tried in court or even convicted of a single crime.

State must strip away national encroachment of gun rights
I support legislation to make Ohio a sanctuary state for law-abiding gun owners. After eight years in Congress, I returned home, convinced that the only way to fix Washington, D.C., is by fixing our state.
We must pass strong laws effort to make Ohio a sanctuary state for law-abiding gun owners and fundamentally strip away the federal government's unconstitutional and unlawful encroachment over our fundamental rights.

National cross-state standard for concealed carry.
Renacci co-sponsored H.R.197&S.845
Establishes a national standard for the carrying of concealed firearms (other than a machinegun or destructive device) by non-residents. Authorizes a person who has a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm in one state and who is not prohibited from carrying a firearm under federal law to carry a concealed firearm in another state:
-
Notwithstanding any law of any State, a person who is not prohibited by Federal law from possessing a firearm and is carrying a valid license to carry a concealed firearm may carry in another State a concealed firearm.
- If such other State issues licenses to carry concealed firearms, the person may carry a concealed firearm in the State under the same restrictions which apply in that State.
- If such other State does not issue licenses to carry concealed firearms, the person may not carry a concealed firearm in a police station, in a courthouse, at a meeting of a governing body, in a school, at an athletic event, in an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages, or inside an airport, except to the extent expressly permitted by State law.

Opposes restrictions on the right to bear arms.
Renacci opposes the CC survey question on right to bear arms
The Christian Coalition voter guide [is] one of the most powerful tools Christians have ever had to impact our society during elections. This simple tool has helped educate tens of millions of citizens across this nation as to where candidates for public office stand on key faith and family issues.
The CC survey summarizes candidate stances on the following topic: "Further restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms"
