UN has not acted decisively during major conflicts

The US should remain in control of its own foreign policy and its own national defense needs. Too often the UN has not acted decisively during major international conflicts. I have concerns that the UN the US pushed to create in San Francisco in 1945 bears little resemblance to UN of today, where a rogue nation like Syria can chair the Security Council and a terrorist nation like Libya can chair the Human Rights Commission.
