Only litmus test is not legislating from the bench

Q: What is your position on abortion?

A: I am pro-life.

Q: What about appointees to the Supreme Court?

A: There should be no litmus test when it comes to confirming a Supreme Court nominee. I would look into that individual's background as a judge or attorney. We must have justices who are there to interpret the Constitution, not legislate from the bench. It is not the place for a member of the Supreme Court to look at laws for other nations in order to find the answer they want.
