Kevin Stine on Principles & Values

The Senate is full of multi-millionaires over the age of 60

Q: How will you try to reduce polarization in Congress so problems can be solved?

STINE: I served in the military, which has very strong diversity among its ranks. I have been able to work with everyone no matter the differences in background and style that we may have. The United States Senate is among the least representative places in America. Despite having two members from every state, the Senate is full of multi-millionaires over the age of 60. I will go the US Senate with an open mind and find the common ground needed to get legislation enacted to help Oregonians.

Separate church & state, but some leeway for societal norms

Q: Do you support or oppose the statement, "Keep God in the public sphere"?

A: Oppose. I believe in separation between church and state, but I give some leeway on matters that are societal norms.
