When elected Senator, my philosophy will continue to be shaped by progressive values and informed by my lifetime of on-the-ground experience in our dynamic economy.
I fundamentally believe that government should play a role in advancing economic and social justice for all its citizens.
As Senator, I would leverage this power to ensure that our most vulnerable are provided for and the needs of the least fortunate, met.
This means bringing down the prohibitive cost of healthcare insurance, challenging our schools to provide the best education possible, tackling persistent poverty, and creating good-paying jobs.
