Jim Justice on Principles & Values

We fought for our faith, our families, our freedoms

But it's not all about dollars and cents is it? When it really boils right down to it, it's about the soul of this state. We protected our coal miners, our gun rights and our unborn babies. I could not be more proud. We fought for our faith, did we not? Our families, our freedoms.

All the goodness in West Virginia is because of God above

My best wisdom of the day would be just this: try as best you can to not want anything for yourself. Literally. This is an honor, beyond all comprehension. For every last one of you, do what our forefathers did, and did so admirably. They served, first and foremost they served, please don't put self in front of that. Always try to do what your voters and constituents are asking you to do. At the end of the day, we're here to do their work. We're here to do the people's wishes.

Think about the stuff that's going on today in this great state. You know, how did all this goodness happen? I believe with all my soul first and foremost it happened because of God above. I believe that with all in me. There's no way that any of us could have been smart enough to have written or written all this down and figured all this out. He wants us to work hard, and he wants us to do our job. But I believe he is guiding this incredible state every single step of the way.

Shedding image of being uneducated, dusty, poor, backward

From 2020 through 2021, net migration is up for the first time in decades, with over 2,000 people moving into our state. We are shedding our image of being uneducated, dusty, poor, and backward. We are shedding our image of being bankrupt and a place business cannot operate because of our legal system. Together, we will continue to shed the dead weight that has been holding us back for years so we can continue to climb higher and higher on our journey to prosperity in West Virginia.

God is responsible for miracle of West Virginia

And every day--the definition of coincidence--an everyday occurrence in which God chooses to remain anonymous. Think about it. How in the world could a little state that's the poorest, how in the world could we absolutely charge to the front like we've charged? How right behind all of that could we have handled what we handled in Covid like we've handled it? I'm telling you it is truly the miracle of West Virginia.

Condemned with IFFY award for running "Issue-Free" campaign

OnTheIssues attempted and failed to compile the issue stances of this candidate--which means the candidate actively sought to hide issue stances from the internet, the news media, and the voters. OnTheIssues undertook due diligence--including writing to the campaign--and got no response. We will eventually infer the candidate's issue stances from a future voting record--but voters should demand to know about the candidate's stance on their favorite issues (and then send them to us!)

We consider "issue-free campaigners" to be untrustworthy of holding elected office--the IFFY award means they are "iffy" officeholders. Just having a "vision" is not enough--voters need to know how the candidate will actually vote on key issues. Issue-free candidates run their campaigns by mouthing platitudes like "How 'bout them Cubs?" and claiming "I respect motherhood & apple pie!" That is an insult to their constituency--and voters should complain loudly and often. We already have--join us!

Endorsed Endorsed by Donald Trump/MAGA during presidency.

Justice is endorsed by Trump/MAGA endorsement list

Endorsements by Donald Trump, implying support of Trump's agenda and electoral style. The phrase `Make America Great Again` was popularized in Trump`s 2015 book Time to Get Tough:Making America Great Again. It is the campaign slogan embroidered on the ubiquitous red caps seen at Trump rallies (which after Trump`s presidency, became known as `MAGA rallies`).
