Michael Cavlan on War & Peace

US military in Iraq is merely causing more dissension

Q: Do you support or oppose replacing US troops with UN troops in Iraq?

A: Support. Our military is merely causing more dissension in Iraq. There is a civil war there right now. The atrocities we hear of in our press is only the tip of the iceberg. We are creating “insurgents” every time a family member or family is killed by our military. We must begin to pull our troops and equipment out of there immediately and then repair the infrastructure of that country that we destroyed.

War in Iraq is brutal, immoral, racist, and corporate

It is time for the leaders of this country to come clean with the American people. The war in Iraq is a brutal, immoral, and racist war being fought primarily for the interests of Shell oil, British Petroleum, and Halliburton.
