Establish a new position of national intelligence director

FARMER: Farmer criticized Bond for voting against creation of the bipartisan 9/11 commission. Farmer supports establishing a new position of national intelligence director with strong authority.

BOND: Bond said he did so because, "We in Congress have been doing that work." However, he said the commission "did heighten attention on the need for reform" and that he supported its recommendation that Congress establish a new position of national intelligence director with strong authority.
