Middle East hates us for meddling, not for "our freedom"
People in the Middle East do not hate us for our freedom. They do not hate us for our lifestyle. They hate us because we have spent many years attempting to force them to emulate our lifestyle. The US government has meddled in the affairs of the Middle
East far too long, always with horrendous results. The US government gave weapons, intelligence and money to Saddam Hussein, helped Libyan Col. Qaddafi come to power, propped up the Saudi monarchy, and gave assistance to Osama bin Laden.

Eliminate all tax-supported foreign aid
The US government has used foreign aid as a tool of influencing the policy of other sovereign nations under the guise of aiding needy people in those nations. This forces American taxpayers to subsidize governments and policies of which they may not
approve. All foreign aid should be voluntarily funded by individuals or private organizations.I will work to eliminate all tax-supported military, economic, technical and scientific aid to foreign governments or other organizations. Abolish government
underwriting of arms sales. Abolish all federal agencies that make American taxpayers guarantors of export-related loans, such as the Export-Import Bank and the Commodity Credit Corporation. End the participation of the US government in international
commodity circles that restrict production and raise prices. Repeal all prohibitions on selling goods and services to any foreign country or organization, unless such provision constitutes a direct threat to the people of the US.

Withdraw all US troops stationed abroad
I will call for the withdrawal of all US military personnel stationed abroad, including the countries of NATO Europe, Japan, the Philippines, Central America and South Korea. I will call for the withdrawal of the US from commitments to engage in war
on behalf of other governments and for abandonment of doctrines supporting military intervention such as the Monroe Doctrine. Further, I will oppose committing US troops to wars at the discretion of the UN, or placing US troops under UN command.

Military draft is unconstitutional involuntary servitude
Coerced military conscription-also known as the draft-is perhaps the single most anti-freedom action governments regularly take against their own citizens. Conscription is clearly involuntary servitude, and therefore prohibited by the 13th Amendment to
the US Constitution. The draft, represses indiscriminately by directly stealing not only the "treasure" of our citizens, but also by taking years of their precious time and-in many cases-their lives. The draft has been justifiably resisted throughout
American history because it is inherently unfair and unjustifiable.If a free America were ever subjected to attack, most Americans would be more than willing to defend themselves, their homes, and their families against the foreign aggressors. The
fact that too few Americans are volunteering to fight the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan illustrates that too few Americans view the actions being taken by our government as integral to the preservation of our freedoms. This is simply the free market working
