Alan Schlesinger on Budget & Economy

National debt of $5 trillion is too burdensome on economy

Alan has warned that as interest rates rise, our national debt of nearly 5 trillion dollars will become too burdensome on the budget and in turn the taxpayer. He plans to reinstitute the Sen. Proxmire "Golden Fleece Award" as a way of drawing attention to the wasteful pork-barrel spending that dominates both parties in Congress. His goal will be to eliminate the federal deficit by 2010.
