It is time to fund students instead of systems

As Governor, I will work with lawmakers to put parents firmly in control of their children's education. That means ensuring that state funding follows each student, enabling parents to select the education that is the best fit-- whether district, charter, private, online, microschool, homeschool or another option not yet imagined. It is time to fund students instead of systems.

As Governor, my administration will develop a report card for every school to detail their academic performance and other key information for families. This is a key part of education transparency, but it's just the beginning. Parents should have access to classroom curriculums and lesson plans, and I support requiring that these materials be posted online for easy review.
