As County Clerk, Kathy expanded services while implementing cost-savings measures. Kathy has:
• Created innovative new programs to get residents to renew their licenses and registrations locally--keeping much needed tax revenue here in Western New York instead of sending it to Albany.
• She has been a tireless advocate for the taxpayer, and with the average citizen of Erie County in mind, Kathy became the first elected official to champion the removal of Thruway Tolls within the commuting range o Buffalo when she served on the Hamburg Town Board. She was dubbed the "Stop the Tolls Pioneer" by the Buffalo News in recognition of her effort to eliminate tolls on the I-190.
• Stood up to her own party and successfully fought the Albany politicians' ill-conceived plan to mandate new license plates, saving $129 million for motorists across the state.
• Initiated the effort to permanently remove burdensome thruway tolls, saving millions for businesses and residents.
