Urged those eligible to apply for Earned Income Tax Credit

Bottoms joined leaders from the United Way and the Internal Revenue Service to promote Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness (EITC). "Too many eligible residents are leaving money on the table by not filing for this tax credit, which could add thousands of dollars to their pockets through their tax return," said Mayor Bottoms. "This is a credit that has been earned by taxpayers, and we urge everyone who may be eligible to work with the United Way to maximize their returns by filing for the EITC."
