Sara Rodriguez on Tax Reform

Large corporations often get tax credits out of proportion

Wisconsin's Department of Revenue does fairly well now, but we always need to make sure it has the resources to collect what's owed. They have asked for additional staff.

We also need to look at tax law itself--large corporations often get tax credits far out of proportion to what small businesses get. Reviewing those credits could help us raise revenue more fairly. It's not just about auditors; it's about making sure the tax code is balanced so that everyone pays their fair share.
