Ban drilling off U.S. coast and tap U.S. energy sources

I believe Congress must take action to permanently ban oil drilling off our coast and I will pursue such legislation. I want to make clear that I favor efforts to increase available energy supplies at home. We need loan guarantees and streamlined procedures to expedite construction of a pipeline to bring 30 trillion cubic feet of natural gas stranded on the North Slope of Alaska to the lower 48 states.
