Don't exclude foreigners from US colleges for security

By excluding foreign students from our campuses, we miss a great opportunity to promote stronger ties among our country and others around the world. Many of the young people who come to study in the US go on to become future world leaders. Under the guise of protecting our nation, our short-sighted leaders are making it increasingly more difficult for foreign students to study in US colleges. Why is this a problem? Focus on infrastructure protection, not just intelligence

Ensuring our national security will take much more than the current narrow-minded approach of just restructuring our intelligence operations. It requires a path that encompasses action on many fronts- from securing borders and ports and thwarting the increased terrorist threat spawned by the Iraqi war to better protecting chemical plants and nuclear facilities and being prepared for extraordinary emergencies.
