Support our troops and veterans

I strongly believe that every American citizen should contribute back to our great nation. There are many ways in which an individual can do this - through church, school, civic, charitable or political activity. I chose the latter at the age of eleven and have been serving my country through politics ever since. Other Americans, however, choose to serve their country through the armed services. In the Senate, I will take the lead to provide these men and women with every necessary tool and armament to ensure their safety. The members of our military put their lives on the line each and every day serving our country, but concern for our men and women in uniform should not end when they leave the danger zone. We must continue to care for our veterans and their families after their service is ended, for they have made many sacrifices to protect of our borders, our freedoms and our way of life.
