Filibusters led by Senate Democrats resulted in Miguel Estrada's withdrawal from his nomination to US Circuit Court of Appeals. "Mr. Estrada was held to different standards than other nominees," says Benjamin, "representing a setback for the Hispanic community." Mr. Estrada, a native of Honduras, came to the US as a teenager.
