Al Gross: Yes. "With a background in science, I know what a serious threat climate change is to the state of Alaska, where we are literally losing villages to the ocean."

Against any ban on hydrocarbon production

Dan Sullivan: Against any ban on hydrocarbon production. Asked Trump to pressure financial institutions benefiting from CARES Act to keep "investing in U.S. coal" and oil and gas development. Strong supporter of Arctic National Wildlife Refuge drilling.

Al Gross: "Enormous potential to develop wind, hydroelectric, solar, and tidal power." Supports re-entering the Paris Climate Agreement. Does support ANWR drilling "in an environmentally safe way."

Create an enduring energy and economic renaissance

• We have huge opportunities before us--especially the energy resurgence that is beginning to take place across Alaska and parts of the US.
• But Washington is broken--not only does it ignore these opportunities--it undermines them by shutting down responsible resource development in Alaska.
• I am running for the US Senate to provide strong leadership and Alaskan resolve to create an enduring energy and economic renaissance that will lift Alaska and America--creating jobs, prosperity, and security into this new century.
• My campaign will focus on accelerating the Alaska energy and economic renaissance--to create more opportunity, energy security, and jobs for Alaskans.

Increase oil production & make state tax world-competitive

By contrast, those supporting the status quo have not presented a serious, workable plan to increase oil production. Keeping ACES would undermine that objective: it gives out enormous tax credits and cash payments-- estimated to exceed $1 billion next year--to companies that have not committed to producing any oil.
