Bush Medicare reforms catered to industry instead of seniors

Harris Miller criticized the Republican leadership in Washington for the continued problems plaguing the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit. The plan's complexity and the Bush Administration's failure to prepare for the implementation effort have left millions of seniors unenrolled. "The Republicans' convoluted system and concessions to the pharmaceutical industry have led to millions of dollars wasted and millions of low-income seniors still lacking prescription drug coverage," Miller said.
