The record surplus Republicans inherited in 2001 has been replaced with a record budget deficit, representing a nearly $30,000 burden on every man, woman, & child in America. George Bush & George Allen have actually created an enormous tax burden with this run-up in debt and shifted it onto the shoulders of America's next generation. They have spent billions of dollars on pork-barrel projects, corporate handouts, and tax giveaways to special interest industries like oil companies & pharmaceuticals.
