Kevin Scott on Principles & Values
|
Massachusetts is moderate; only our politicians are liberals
Despite what the rest of the country thinks about us, Massachusetts is a moderate state. But because of the reputation of our congressional delegation (the largest single-party delegation in the country),
everyone thinks we are all wild-eyed liberals determined to tax and spend the country into oblivion. Kevin Scott is a fiscally conservative, pro-family and pro-environment candidate who can appeal to the majority of
Massachusetts voters, the people from Main Street who don't lean strongly to the right or the left.
Senator Kennedy lost touch with the rest of us a long time ago. For years, he has continued to drift to the left, while
Massachusetts has stayed in the middle. It's time that we had a senator who believes in the things that the average hard working citizen of this commonwealth believes in.

Why print ballots with only one candidate?
Because of Senator Kennedy's stature as the "liberal lion" of the Senate, his long tenure in office, and his large war chest, few Republicans are willing to stick their necks out to take him on.
But what's the sense of printing a ballot if there's only one candidate on it? The people of Massachusetts deserve a choice. Kevin Scott is providing that choice.

Roots in Wakefield business and as Wakefield Selectman
A life-long resident of Wakefield, 42 year-old Kevin Scott has over 20 years of community involvement and successful small business ownership. After graduating from Wakefield High School, Kevin founded a successful automotive reconditioning service,
which he ran for 10 years. He learned the value of a hard day's work, and realized that treating people right is the only way to build any worthwhile business. Kevin's second endeavor was TechnoMatch, a firm dedicated to the strategic job
placement of technology professionals throughout the Massachusetts I.T. industry. Acting as the facilitator in staffing companies with essential personnel taught him that there is a big difference between hiring the 'right person,' and the 'almost right
person.'
In Wakefield, Kevin has served both as a Selectman and Board of Public Works member. By electing Kevin Scott, local officials will have a Senator who understands their challenges, because he has been there.

The Pride in Wakefield Committee, and more recently as an assertive promoter of a statewide Rails-to-Trails network in Massachusetts, Kevin's community involvement has kept him close to the people of our state.
