Kelda Helen Roys on Budget & Economy

Leverage funding to increase housing affordability

While construction costs are rising and interest rates remain high, Wisconsin needs to be proactive to ensure that the right mix of housing is built and maintained all across the state. By reducing construction costs, reforming urban zoning laws, and leveraging public and private funding to increase housing affordability, Wisconsin can stabilize housing costs, lower rent prices, and guarantee that every person, regardless of their ZIP code, has safe and affordable housing where they can thrive.
