Government's greatest responsibility is to defend this land

The US is the greatest country in the history of the world. We have no greater responsibility as a government -and as individuals- than to defend this land, which is the envy of the world. The US Coast Guard mission is to "protect the public and support national security". The National Guard's mission is to "maintain properly trained and equipped units, available for prompt mobilization for war, national emergency, or as otherwise needed." Better veteran's benefits and veteran's healthcare

Veterans deserve the praise and support of the country. Any member of the US armed services who was injured in the line of duty should get all the help and support the nation can supply. Having good veteran's benefits is one sure way to help us maintain our all-volunteer military.

We must show respect and appreciation through health care close to home and job training. They deserve at least what we provide with Medicaid and Medicare.
