2001 tax cuts dug us out of a deep recession

Concern over the federal deficit is properly directed at excessive government spending, and not at the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts which dug us out of a deep recession, have given us the strongest and fastest growing economy in the developed world, and which have increased tax revenues to reduce the deficit because of growth in employment, incomes, and the economy generally. Supports a simpler, fairer tax code

Jan supports a simpler, fairer tax code. Jan says, "I support President Bush's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and favor their extension. These tax cuts account for the economic growth which has made the U.S. economy the envy of the industrialized world. Tax collections have increased since the tax cuts because of the expanding economy, and more of the tax burden is borne now by the top 10% of taxpayers."
