Stop treating immigrants like criminals

We need to change the way our border works. We have to issue and check work permits for those who come here to better their lives and contribute to our country. We have to stop treating them and making them feel, like criminals. They need to receive a fair wage and pay their fair share of taxes so that they will have right to use hospitals and schools like every other tax-paying citizen. And we need to protect and secure our borders like so many other countries who perceive danger from those who try and sneak in and cause harm to their citizens. Are we na‹ve enough to believe that our country is immune to a catastrophe brought to us through our borders? If we continue to think so, it will only be a matter of time that we will have to react again to a terrorist attack and of course we will have to continue to deal with the drug trafficking destroying our state and country.
